Stoneware Ceramic Doily Starfish Ball Candle Luminary

Bring the beach indoors with this unique handmade ball luminary.

Stoneware clay was rolled out and impressed with a vintage doily. Starfish were cut out and individually placed into a mold to create a ball. Once fired, it and its matching base were glazed in a matte sandstone glaze that contained crystals that burst into random brown spots. A perfect beachy finish!

Felt pads have been added to the bottom to protect your furniture.

The ball itself measures approximately 5-1/4" x 5-1/4". With the base plate it is about 5-1/2" tall.

Although the opening of the ball luminary is large enough to accommodate a votive candle, it is recommended that a tea light be used instead, Stoneware can still get pretty warm from a candle, so it is recommended that you blow the candle out through one of the holes and let the shade cool before handling.
